Have to agree about the roads, I came back from France on Friday too and even the farms tracks in France are smoother than the motorways in England. French people also know how to use a motorway not like the muppets in England Ray

Without starting a brexit debate or a france one at that - the whole of europe is much better.
Just on roads, we notice the roads everytime we come back, thousands of miles almost perfect and then within 1/2mile of the ferry UK side awful, i bet the outback has better surfaces...that an speeds, cameras, standards of driving etc... Mike |

Regarding the state of the roads it's a running joke round here that you know exactly when you've crossed the border back into Hereford from Waleshire

Drove to Garlands to buy some cartridges for the coming season (only to find I'd still got hundreds left from last year - oh well, plenty for the zombie holocaust).
Paint bubbling developing on the windscreen bracket and bulkhead looks more obvious - need to get that sorted soon. Saw 4 Defenders and a 109 on the way - every one a waver |

I went a couple of miles down the road to collect six new chairs for the breakfast room and was amazed they all fitted in .

Woke up and was going to go to the shoot this morning, though it was raining and Mrs G couldn't risk getting cold and wet as she's been ill for a few weeks.
So we packed a flask and went to Bakewell, bought some breakfast baps and pudding and went to just sit and eat Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |
