Aerial upgrade
Iv done it once but it's broke today any one know of a good quality short radio aerial ?


Steve 2015 2.2 tdci hardtop xs
3.2 conversion DONE 238bhp and 707nm torque and thats just the start ;-P
hybrid turbo in build -done ready to fit
ashcroft atb in transfer box
6 speed auto in build

With land rover wings being alloy they don't provide an earth for the aerial. Haven't done this on my fm aerial but my CB I put an earth on it now the range is over 5 miles. I earthed both the rig and the mount.

Think this would help for the FM so enable a smaller aerial but keep range.

I converted mine so that it uses the CB aerial though a passive converter. Job done. And I now don't have the old aerial in my line of sight all the time. Got the box from 4x4 com:
