Yes, Have a look at this and see what you think... The Kenwood KIV-700 Half your max budget but the BT unit is an extra £99 even then that's £250. Pretty damned good really. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

Yeah you did. There is DAB models but AFAIK you will then not be able to have the screen only the BT. Sooner or later there will probably be a unit with all of it built in especially as DAB comes in. Personally though unless you use the radio a lot I wouldn't bother.
As far as I can tell it's capable of taking AV in. It's difficult to tell looking though a whole ream of manual. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

Thanks Steve & Russ.
Seems I can't get all I want in one unit. I like DAB as I listen to Radio 5 a lot and its much better on digital than medium wave. I have it in my D4 and its brilliant. In fact if I could get my D4 unit in my 90 it would do everything in want.. Cheers Simon |

Not Alpine again.
On a different note. If it's a double DIN size unit in the D4 then I can't see why not. But you'd need a double DIN centre dash which isn't cheap and would also depend on if the unit in the D4 is specifically made for the D4's electrical system and not ISO standard as aftermarket radio's are. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ·ó ¬ó ³ó ¿ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó ´ó ¿ðŸ‡®ðŸ‡ªðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸â›½ï¸ðŸ›¢ï¸âš™ï¸ðŸ§°ðŸ’ª |

I was joking about the D4 system. It's fully integrated and the display is separate from the receiver. Would be near impossible to fit, let alone the cost of it..
I'll continue my quest... Cheers Simon |

In the same vein, does anyone know of a single DIN flip-up unit that looks like it belongs in a standard Defender? All the ones I've seen are all shiny with bright LED displays. I really like the understated "rugged" look of the OEM one, at least when the screen is closed...
Cheers Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

a little off topic ... I put the OEM land rover unit back into my truck after the parrot unit died and connected it to the Focal sub woofer, and with standard speakers and the standard unit, I think it sounds fine, you won't get radio5 but maybe try adding a sub first and go from there ?
