I can see the link.

What I don't get though... American vehicles, surely the fag lighter is not a 110 volt plug? That's how they say it chargers, surely there's an error there? How is 110 volt charging easily compatible with a 12v vehicle?? Shocked 1998 110 300Tdi White Hard Top

My bad, have to wait longer than normal.Don't know if it's any different to the ceramic heaters you can buy over here and they don't get much good reviews.Anyways it says, " item sold out, no longer available".

I've looked at those tiny 150w cheap unites with extremely poor reviews, I wont even bother...

Toying with the idea of a second battery at 100ah, 1200 watt hours / 300w = 240 minutes per charge. That should give me 20 ice free mornings assuming 300w of heat will deice and demist in 10 minutes. And I've just seen you can get 300w heated screens for around £160 Very Happy

there's a little voice in my head saying that the manual will state "operating conditions: +5 to +25 °C"

My 2Kw (heating power, not absorbed energy) airtop takes 10min to demist the 110 on a cold morning, let alone de-icing. (no direct airflow to windscreen)

The 6kw thermotop takes about 20min to de-ice (yes i know it has to heat the coolant first)

My heated front window takes 5 minutes to form a water layer between ice and window so it can be removes easily from the outside.

what these small ceramic heaters are good at is being sold with 800% margin and eating your battery while coughing some +2° hotter air on your window (so -10 becomes -8 )

I think 160£ spend on an old beagle or retriever to put in front of your window is money better spend, at least you'll get some love back and you'll be still able to start the car.

Wink

+1 for a second hand Eberspacher/Webasto. I've got a D1 Eberspacher for a very good price and along with a cheap timer from the bay of fleas sorts my motor out in about 15 to 20 minutes without me leaving my house untill it's ready!
