Is this a brand or a type?

Think its a brand mate, used them for a few years on a 300 tdi disco and never had any problems with them! that did get a service every 6 months though. I buy cheap and change regularly! 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold

Thats a bit of a broad quote...

UFI are OEM for genuine Td5 fuel filters. Nothing else.

Good filters though.

I have used UFI fuel filters for a long time. I use Coopers oil filters. Bought a job lot of both a couple of years ago and still working through them. They seem to be decent quality but who really knows without doing scientific tests to see how they perform at the particle levels are important.
