Netherlands 2003 Defender 90 Td5 PU Caledonian Blue
Diff question.
I have a Detroit locker and a truetrac LSD in RR classic diffs in my 1997 Camel Discovery. They are 24 spline diffs.
Will they be a straight swap to my TD5 90?

I don't have the Camel at home, it is standing in front off the Dutch Camel trophy museum, his new home, so I can't just have a look. Roel

1984 90 2.5 na Diesel - RR V8 (1994-2001)
1997 Camel Trophy Discovery 300TDI (2001-2009)
2005 G4 Discovery III 4.4 V8 (2008-2018) It's gone but it still hurts.
2003 90 Td5 (2009-now)

Yes, they'll fit straight in.

you may be better off getting some HD axle shafts though (like V8 24spline, although the drive hub is bigger with those... a factory disc braked HD shaft isn't listed (if you run alloy wheels then the hub will be too big))

you could always get some from Ashcrofts.

All 90's from late 200Tdi 1992~3 with disc braked rear axles are 24 splined

Thanks guys,

I'll stay with the standard 24 spline shaft for a while. I'll have a look if they are the same as from the Camel as I only broke 2 in 7 years.
I only paid about 35 pounds for each so I probably buy a spare set, so they don't break. Whistle Roel
