First fault
Yep got the first fault, minor but I suppose I will need to get it sorted. Engine suddenly turns into a 300tdi for 5 seconds usually when changing gear at low revs. Plenty of others had this as well but no definative fix mentioned , I presume it's the fuel PRV but if anyone can nail it down with a specific fix it will save me some time. not a big deal but next time I 'm passing the dealer I'll get them to have a look Thumbs Up Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

That sounds like the same problem that I get occasionally. I have taken the lazy approach of keeping my revs fairly high for the first couple minutes of driving and then all is well. A fortnight ago before I had adopted the higher-rev driving style I encountered the problem for a little longer then usual and it triggered the engine warning light and emergency mode. When Land Rover Assist arrived it had thrown up a 1169 error code, but a quick reset of this, and crimping the terminals on the fuel rail sensor seem to have sorted it. I intend taking a similar approach when I'm passing the dealer. Peter

The new tune patch is supposed to fix this problem. Good Idea to see the dealer

Sounds like something i had !

Turned out to be the EGR valve that was dodgy !

And ive had the dowloaded patch to the ECU it totally transforms the driving throughout the rev range. DEFENDER XS CSW 08 TONGA GREEN
