Defenders being the leaky sieves that they are the last thing you want is shag pile carpets Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

I had a leek in the discovery, took me ages to find it, had the carpets up for 6 months, it was the window screen, finding was the thing, I think I sealed the car with that much silicon, it could float, one thing no more leaks anymore, the new one is getting the same treatment, nothing worse than damp.

Hi Michael
Noticed a few of your posts. Nice car. After picking up my 13 this week , wondering what alarm you have ? As they seem a bit vulnerable |

I thought I would add this link which I believe should explain what specs you should have for your model of Land Rover, I note it indicates all models now come with tinted glass, can anyone with a 2012-2013 model confirm this?

Not on mine . Did not want tints though as the last one I had was not factory fitted glass . Hence the rubbers dampness caused them to lift after a few months

I have just picked up my 90 SW XS and it has tinted glass all round. Not sure about the steering wheel material as wife has gone out in it but I will check. I agree the 'carpets' are crap. Might try the internal spray idea too. Cheers all.

I would add, in my view LR are just taking the Pxxx and screwing us Landy fans for as much as they can get out of us. They seem to be reducing the specs all the time. There wasn't so much as one drop of underbody protection of any kind on my new XS, seems like they would like to reduce their lifespan as much as possible so they can sell more of the next version.

I know, I'm forever washing out the salt traps... Think I may a visit to Zagato to sort some underbody protection... However I'm in Scotland and he's in the south... Maybe cheaper to fly him here!!!
Tim It doesn't matter how bad it is, It can always get worse... 2013 Bowler 110 (Sold) 2016 Bowler 90 Rally Spec (Sold) |
