As far as I'm aware, they delayed the prosecution until March 2013, but then have postponed it further. However, although they can't fine you, I'm pretty sure it's still a legal requirement? Work that one out as I can't? Craig Rogers 2007 Puma 110 XS 2011 Evoque Coupe Dynamic Lux www.craigrogers.photography |

I have a friend who went there for the week and never saw any of the race.
He thoroughly enjoyed himself. |

Echo the above. Great fun with a Defender and everyone (turning up in all their exotica) stops for an admiring chat.

The brethalyser is technically a legal requirement but there are no guidelines on what the punishment is for not being compliant - bit like saying there's a spped limit but we're not sure what it is so can't do anything about it (but they WILL take your deails, pass them on and have every froggy plod stopping you for 250 miles.
Halfords, £10 for a pack of 2 (so that when they get you to use one you still habve an unused one ) or smae pack £35 from eurotunnel. One that seems to have been missed is do NOT have ANYTHING that tells you wjhere speed camer's are. This on ei senforced. No maps, sat nav's (turn this function off) and the fact that they have added around 4000 camera's and taken down all the signs and they are not gasto - they are RADAR so no getting out of it. Note - car speedo's are designed to show 4mph over actual spped so if it says 80kph, and your speedo says 80 kph you are really doing 73.5kph so all good. And that's from a fleet manager with vehicles that cross europe daily so not making it up. Enjoy - I'll be heading to Willingen for the mountain biking - 800 each way in a 96 110 CSW. TY&GN 10 years in a WOLF, WIMIK and Snatch and this is all I have to show! |

Hi,
My advice is to join the ACO - gets entrance to their enclosures and it can be a real haven - even if you're camping on site. Peter Defender 11MY USW |

Also take the fluorescent jacket and keep it in the car, not the back. I've heard of people being stopped on the autoroute, asked to get out of the car then being in trouble for not wearing the jacket as they walk to the back to get it out.
May not be true, but I keep mine in the glovebox.. Cheers Simon |
