You'd need a fair angle to get it squirt that high!

It's miles away from the windscreen and the jets of water are likely to be blown off course even more than they are already when driving. Best mod is to fit the jets onto the wiper arms, that way the water is where it's needed, on the screen!

The reason I ask is that I've just watched the JE Engineering Zulu video and noticed that they have them mounted. And you can angle the nozzles toward the windscreen. I was thinking about mounting some from a n other vehicle.

The only problem I have with mounting them to the wiper blades is that I still haven't seen anyone do it so that it looks as if it could be factory fit. The ones I've seen always look a bit Heath Robinson.

I guess you could get the washers off a Disco. They are also heated. If its possible to get the pump as well then it might work.
Otherwise, as stated above, the water will never reach the screen....the phrase " ing in the wind" comes to mind... Cheers Simon |

hi Mark
I was looking into the same thing a couple of months ago. Looks like you have a tdci now, that makes a difference, The tdci bonnets have a lump wher eyou can hide/angle the washers. I was planning on using heater washer jets from a 3 series BMW, together with the automatic temperature switch. You can buy the loom from BMW for about £90.00. Since going on the trip I've not had time to look at it again. if you google it, there's a guy who has done a step by step heated jets fitting. As above, other options are to fit Peugeot style washers onto the wipers themselves or fit 2 sets of defender jets into the grommets next to the wipers. For me, MOT next on the ICE |
