you cant have anything these days
You could go for a set of the mobile center 70mm ones they are secrued wit ha nut at the back so the thieving scrots cant get at them The thing is though then there more likely just to smash them out of spite of not stealing them CSK Automotive www.cskautomotive.co.uk Like us on Facebook - www.facebook.com/csklr Follow us on Instagram - @cskautomotive |

I had my spare wheel stolen despite it being in a public space in the middle of the day and locked with a LR locking wheel nut (which offer fek all protection I now understand).
Has anyone any experience of how often they (LED bulbs) actually blow? If they last 'forever' then could you superglue the lenses on and not bother with screws? Maybe do this and accept when one does go you need to buy a new unit but cheaper than replacing the whole lot every time some scrote fancies your LEDS. HTH and fingers crossed the piece of sh#t who stole them gets what they are due at some point soon. Mobile centre lights are a thought but it may cost me more as I doubt they'll fit on the plinths that were left behind. Need to investigate this.
How about dropping the LED idea all together... Will NAS lenses fit on the plinths I have (70mm)? That would save me stripping out the back of the car again. Glueing is another option (but drastic)... Tony |

Hi Tony,
Sorry to hear about your loss Yes, we can supply the lights without the plinths. The 70mm Mobile Centre ones do not fit the NAS plinths but as pointed out by Killer are secured from behind. I have fitted my LEDS with 'security' screws that I got from RS, not foolproof but a deterrent. Yes, standard NAS lights will fit your plinths and are of course a lot cheaper. It maybe an idea for SVX and X Tech owners to think about replacing the standard screws with something a little more secure .... Last edited by Go Beyond on 4th Mar 2013 10:49am. You can buy all six LED LR (Le Perei) lamps from www.dun-bri.com for ~£270 inc VAT.
Not sure why they cost £400-£500 elsewhere Cheers Steve |

I might well be in touch, Matt, for a cost for just the LED units. With 'security screws' this might be the best way forward.
I don't really want to go back to filament bulbs (NAS or otherwise) - depends on what my insurance company say.... Quick glance at dun-bri but can only see turn lights (95mm) although it could be worth a deeper look. Thanks for your feedback, everyone. Tony |

Hi Tony Yeah, it's not the best site to navigate here's my post of when I fitted them to my 90 with a screen grab of of lights and part no. I used... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic17799.html Probably easiest way to find is to search for '95mm stop' '95mm rear' etc |

Matt, what size security screws did you get for the rear LED's, Im rubbish at working out measurements as well as being stuck in the office at the moment without a screwdriver (yes i can even c**k that up). Am thinking preventative theft deterants for Billing etc which i heard had an alarming theft rate last year =================================== Steve 90 xs sw in Stonoway Grey - Sold 110 USW X-TECH |

Corsetti rear lightguards whilst not anti-theft it would take any scrote about 10 minutes to get the guard cover off, longer if you resin the allen bolts.
