A MAN is due to appear at Leamington Magistrates’ Court today charged with the theft of a Land Rover.

Terrence Dunn, aged 41, of Birmingham, was one of two men arrested by Warwickshire Police on suspicion of conspiring to steal Land Rovers across the country.

The arrests came after officers from the Vehicle Crime Team carried out simultaneous dawn raids in Kings Heath, Birmingham, and Alcester Road, Worcester, on Monday.

Dunn was charged with the theft of a Land Rover on February 28 from Malt House Lane in Earlswood, south Warwickshire.


The other man, a 19-year-old from Birmingham, has been bailed pending further investigations into an alleged conspiracy to steal Land Rovers across the country with Dunn.

Dyfed Powys Police has been working in partnership with Warwickshire Police on the operation.

The Vehicle Crime Team is part of the Acquisitive Crime Team which is working under Operation X to reduce crime across the county and catch those causing it.

DS Coleman, of the Vehicle Crime Team, said: “I want to assure the wider community that we are working to ensure that criminals who commit vehicle crime in Warwickshire, will be targeted, arrested, and charged.”
