No, read my post again.

The 36 spline XS wheel (Only the XS wheel not the standard wheel) is the older one Thumbs Up

And yet my 2002 110 is not and XS and has a 36 spline wheel... LR steering wheels are a crazy crazy topic...

36 spline columns were used in Defenders that were not Poverty spec, I presume yours is a CSW / County ?

My quote is taken out of context / misleading, sorry - in essence the spline count on the column is entirely down to the spec level (up to 2005) - Poverty spec was 48 spline (Hard tops / truck cabs that were not County spec) and everything else, CSW / XS / County were 36 spline

The reason I know this is that when I built the SVX a like it was originally a base model truck cab (with a 48 spline steering column) and I wanted to fit an XS steering wheel to copy the genuine SVX, I had to buy a post 2008 wheel for it to fit (at great expense direct from LR)

Yes genuine, unmolested County spec. Would have the wheel in the unlikely event of being 48. Will check and let you know asap.
Ta.

Now my head is spinning..... Laughing My SVX, a real one, surely has a 48 spline column You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Correct Thumbs Up

But I would have saved myself a lot of money had I been able to fit an earlier XS steering wheel (identical in looks but not spline count to your SVX one)
