Was there plenty of room to fit the stereo in that position in the Raptor dash? Or was it a tight fit?

Thanks WarPig.

No problems with room to get it all in. It all fits nicely even with a lot of wiring for all the switches, but made sure they were all tidy and routed properly.

I have to admit I also like the 'classic' look to the Defender too.

That looks like a different car you must of spent thousands of it . I quite like the green on black I must say. fantastic build one of the best I've seen Thumbs Up 2003 TD5 90

I didn't keep an exact tally of all the costs, but most of it is still the original parts. The big ticket items like the chassis, BAS turbo, Wheels, seats add up to a few thousand. Otherwise it was mostly general parts that made sense to replace while doing the job.

I did absolutely everything myself from respray to engine work so I saved a fortune in labour costs.

I reckon I spent about £8K on it and I bought it for £6k so when I see the finished truck and think it cost me £14K I am well pleased. Although what price you can place on all the blood sweat and tears I am not so sure.........

Its more fun to rebuild a land rover to get that sense of achievement rather than buy a new one 2003 TD5 90

Just thought I would post and update as I have done a fair bit of work to my Defender recently. Firstly I converted it to auto. Used an Ashcroft kit.
