The Alpine Sub looks neat and a good fit, would it not mount the other way up?

(Upside down writing would annoy me)

Morning,

Its physically the right way up but the logo isn’t. Ion the land rover version they print the logo the other way round. I have ordered a sticker to cover it up. If I mounted the other way loads of crud would full into the unit 

Factory unit looks like this:

I know exactly what you mean. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
Just have a play around though, I turned my amp down to about a third, and ths gain on alpine active sub all the way up and set the filter low low low. Works quiet well now, but it also alters depending on music and formats. Going for a proper sub set up is nice, but would be another £4-500 and then not as practical for me.
I am still undecided but by playong around have got the sound alot better Thumbs Up

I have same front upgrade ready to fit and bought iBus 2.1 under seat sub to add to the system.

Fitted sub today and decided to run the cables under vehicle rather than inside to make a neater install.

Where did you fit the crossovers as not much room on offside

Simon

Looking at fitting this and had hoped to locate it on the back of the cubby but it seems too long. Where did you locate the iBus 2.1?

Thanks M

Tweeters are pre wired but need connecting to the crossover (pictured)
Existing speaker connection need changing for forks and simply connect to the crossover . Then create a small link cable for the mids.

Velcro crossover to inside of dash. All installed in under 1.5 hrs.

When I dyno mat the rear I will replace the speaker cable as the factory is very thin.

I take it the 2 wires on the left are the tweeters? What are the other connections wiring? Andy

Thanks Tim,
Sorry for the daft questions but the input wires come from where?? Do you have to make up new cables from the cross over to the focal speakers, and then ditch the LR cables to the current speakers??

The tweeters come with wire attached.. (all you have to do is put a connector on)... You have to make up the mid range cables and you just use the mid speaker wire with replacement connections for the inputs..

Hope that makes sense!!

Cheers
