Check the flow into it.
It's restricted somewhere. |

Plenty flow to the tank and feed to the pump head. Friggin. Baffling. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I had a faulty 'auto-shutoff' hoselock connector.
It worked fine on everything except filling my caravan tank and my pressure washer. Try a different connector. |

I had the same issue as Laurie with an auto shut off head.
There is a little plastic cross in the connector that restricts the flow. Cut it out with a pliers and everything was fine Worth a look |

I have crows foot straight through couplings and there seems to be plenty feed to pump heads. Machine reaches pressure then loses pressure when trigger is pulled. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Hi Red Dot,
Don't know if yours is the same but my Karcher must be at least 20 years old and still gives me great service. At the end of the nozzle I have what can only be described as a stainless steel reed valve which is two small flat pieces of steel that varies the water jet, when in use I have experienced when using it up close and the valve is open that grit and dirt can migrate between the steel plates and affect the nozzle pressure. If yours is the same you can either dismantle the end and flush it out or by using a small instrument screwdriver dislodge any crud caught between the steel plates. Hope this helps. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

I had this on my Karcher 620. As it stays in the garage I assumed frost had broken it. After a complete strip-down and rebuild, I found no obvious fault. When I put it back together it all worked fine again
It's the one that looks like this: Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |

Mine is a semi industrial hot water cleaner model HDS 550 and it was perfect prior to this problem. I have one the same as your 620 in the loft if you ever need parts? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS.. |

I wouldnt use one in the loft, water might leak through the ceiling below. Ive read lots of reports of Karchers pulsing on and off, my previous one did it. |

If all else fails Red dot give them a ring at their Banbury HO and ask for technical. The one you have is a pretty decent one and they will be helpful. They tend to be very unhelpful if its the standard K2, K3 etc stuff on sale at DIY stores because they know they're garbage and built to a price - and anyway the B&Q, Homebase stuff is only a fraction of their market
