Demo 130 DCHCPU from Land Rover
The 130 Demo has turned up, its a 2.2 13my

Initial findings are:-

Engine is quieter and smoother, seems more responsive but then its empty so it would be compared to J-Lo. The engine also seems to rev a bit higher and I say a bit, its sort of like a TD5.

All in all so far a Thumbs Up

Andrew,

I assume it has Continental cross contacts AT's, could you check the handbook and let me know the tyre pressure recommendations. I have put them on my MY10 130 and would like to know the pressures, they have much greater Tarmac contact compared to Michellin OE fit.

Enjoy the test drive, glad to see you are making the most f the conditions.

Everytime I see a 130 I want one even more!! And RFT, by zooming in on the picture I THINK they are the Goodyear mud tyres on it. I would think it will still have the info you require in the hand book though.

Does it look like they've fitted the longer wheel studs for those rims Andrew or are a couple of threads showing on the wheel-nuts as usual? Steve.

RFT - i have crosscontacts (235/85/16) on my 130 at the moment, came from the factory like that a few months ago. its not stamped in the book, its on the drivers side door piller.

mine tells me - fronts 45 (psi) backs 60 (psi)

Thanks Chadjizz, what mpg are you getting with yours? I lost about 1.5mpg when I changed tyres, hence why I am trying a few tyre pressure changes.

Giles I thing it is a spurious hc.

cheers RFT - I thought it had something to do with the double cab status (as opposed to a 130 pick up) if you get my drift. my LR knowledge can rest now i know its a typo Embarassed

RFT mine wouldn't be a good comparison, its a new 130, only just started to loosen up with 2000miles on the clock. the gear box through 2nd and 5th is tight as a nuns c**t still.
i think the best i have got is 400ish miles to the tank.
sorry Off Topic but i will be soon selling my wolf wheels with crosscontacts if anyone is interested

Sorry my error should be DC to start not HC Embarassed

DC = Double Cab

Its on Goodyear MTR's I will get the tyre info tomorrow and post.

Drove to Birmingham today to take Thomas to Willows vets for his check up.
First thing the missus said was 'the engine is quiet'
