I've found that one poor, its crimping options are too large or too small for most terminals 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

I like the way they show an incorrect crimp in their ad 2nd crimp should be on protective sheath only and should not be crimping plug too. Personally, I'd suggest using proper tool, as its a single crimp for both terminal and sheath. Cheapest I found was polevolt at £41.88 inc VAT. ... http://polevolt.co.uk/acatalog/info_TT351.html Cheers Steve |

Steve, why do you say that the 2nd crimp should not hold the seal? Every sealed terminal I have seen on a vehicle has been crimped as in their listing 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Looking on TE further, it shows you can crimp plug on superseal too. Not sure why my instructions showed it only inserting plug afterwards. Would have saved me some time had I known.

Having both.......as you do
I find the blue handled ones easier to use, The durite one for some reason keep twisting the crimp just as you are applying tension to form the crimp, the blues ones do however take longer as you have to make each crimp twice, once for the cable and again for the seal. Solder aferwards if you favour the belt and braces approach Regards Les |
