2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 USW Galway Green

wiring diagram for rear wiper switch as aux switch

i want to use a rear wiper switch YUG000350LNF to power 2 rear work lights as i cant bring myself to spend £50 on a front fog switch, im guessing it can be done but has anyone got a diagram on which pins wire to what ?

Looking at the Rave diagram, Pin 1 is Earth, pin 4 is the live (via whatever you're trying to switch)

The wiper motor is "live" via the ignition, and switched to earth through the dash switch. If you were to wire it the other way round just as a normal switch, you'll find that the warning light on it won't work properly.

It's not a problem though... take the power feed for your spotlight relay (fused, naturally), through the coil of the relay, then to the switch (pin 4) then to earth (pin 1) and it should work just as the rear wiper did.
