When I had a RRS my local dealer did 94mph I did not even get an apology from them so shamed them in local press as I had tracker on the vehicle - sadly standard practice 2020 P300 HSE

It's not right them driving your vehicle like that but very common in the motor trade. and 70 is the legal speed limit for a duel carriageway

I think it might actually be 60 for a utility .....
they were probably checking everything was working correctly ..... including the speed limiter thats proper wrong in my books but its not the first story of its sort I've heard of. |

Hi mk1collector. As far as I was aware its only 60 in a utility. Due to the lower road tax band. 70 on motorway.

Hi Caterham. Mite gave been the fact I still had the BAS tune on as it wasn't in for any engine related work. The driver said to my wife 'it drives well'.

As a dual purpose vehicle, it's 70mph, the same as cars. It hasn't got anything to do with the tax band. It's been discussed on here at great length (several times) with some nice comprehensive answers from Blackwolf, if you fancy searching for them. Darren

My dealers enjoy pointing out they won't road-test my vehicle as they deem the wheels 'illegal' I pointed out that that's the way I want it as I don't fancy any 'oily rag' driving my truck. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

I note some cars and maybe now LR as it's on the latest Jags have a valet mode that can be set and I think limits engine revs/gear.
