The rails while they lift they also allow you to move the mounting points further back so the seat is moved from the very start. I made my own and I've also shifted the seat to the side, away from the door, that has made a big difference.

Ok so your saying there's a simple way of doing it without buying the rails? Thumbs Up

I haven't had a proper look at them yet but do you mean you can cut that ledge away and the seat will slide back once the bulkhead is removed? Or by putting the nuts under will that lift the seat up to slide over? Or will that make the seat feel like its tipping forward...?

I suppose you can just put two nuts at the front as well and it would level it out? Confused Shocked

You can do any of the above you wish.

I just cut 2 slots the width of the slide rails in the junction lip, then tapped down that 2 inch wide section with a hammer and punch, 15 mins work.

Using original bolting points I was able to let the seat back against the lowered bulk head without any rails, just cut 2 slots in the junction lip of the seat box and rear tub.

I have exmoor trim modulars, maybe the rail goes back further than original seats though, not sure.
