I remember seeing a while ago that a couple of you had lifeproof cases on your iPhones. Very tempted to get a couple as xmas prezzies to myself and my mums partner. I see on their website that lifeproof sell a dock extender....
http://www.lifeproof.com/shop/gb_en/connec...ck-adapter My question is, do I need to buy one of these per case to be able to charge the phone without taking the case off? Or are they so you can sit the case in a cradle? Thanks, WWA |

That little extender is for if you want to use an after market charger or anything non standard, your normal apple charger will just fit into the bottom of your phone as normal (when you open the flap)
I swear by my case, the phone is like new inside it |

I have a griffin case it's fantastic . Had it over 2 years and I am a tree surgeon and nothing lasts me 2 years. My iPhone is still in perfect condition. So will be the first time I've ever sold a phone so the case has paid of.

Yes you can charge it but it doesn't fit in any cradle and it makes the phone massive. But if you do an outside or dirty job then it's a price to pay. The touch screen still works well, I am typing on it now.

I have a otterbox defender case for iphone 5 but im not happy with it, it touches and makes what looks like oil marks on the screen, i swapped it 4 times and all did the same. Also the earpeice area and the camera lense area isnt protected so fills with dust and various crap so i wont be surprised if it marks the phone after removing the case.
I am looking to replace it with a lifeproof version as at least that is sealed! Iphone 4 version of the otterbox defender on the other hand was brilliant! Like him above Im hard on my phones and that was the first phone I sold on! 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) 2015 Discovery 4.5 Black pack Firenze red XS 2008 Corris Grey 110 XS USW (sold) 2011 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) |

just make sure you do the water test first, and do the water test every time you drop it as it can comprimise the seal under water from what ive seen. 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold)

It's a good party trick to dunk your phone in some water ha

I've always had otterbox defender cases on iPhones. They are very good cases but very chunky and fancy a change so think I will try the lifeproof cases.

The only cure I know of for this is to dust the inside of the case with talcum powder. I don't mean cover it in the stuff. Just blow the bottle over it and get some really small particles of the powder on the inside of the screen. So little is needed that you can hardly see it. It shouldn't need to be done on a £50(?) case BUT it does work. |
