Halfords. What ever they have done fitting wise there should be nothing that should happen to cause the dash illumination to turn off. I'd go back there tell them what's happened and say you want it put right. $W33T $0U7H3RN $UG4R

forgive me for stating the obvious but i assume you have checked the fuse (panel located under the steering column). ALWAYS the first place to check if anything electrical goes pete tong.

The radio might have a side light feed for the illumination.
