Yes, done it, but the puma doesn't lend itself to an auto aswell as a td5.

Due to the extreme low down torque and the unwillingness to rev very well of the puma , it all becomes very jerky.
Ask to drive one if your interested, Ashcroft or Berkshire have one. A project in the new year is a 8 speed unit on a puma with paddles, just need the customer to decide exactly what he wants, it will probably be a 3.2 now tho. |

Not an issue at all, he has 2 in transits, one only does 50miles a week, I will then replace with a 2.4 tdci. |

Ah, should have added it will be on the back of a Td5 engine - just like (and want) a Tdci dashboard and heater. If I knew what I was doing - I would be scared!

So in effect are you asking if you could put a tdci dash in to a td5? In theory yes if you use the tdci bulkhead, heater etc. The auto console will be the easy bit of the conversion |

The hard part I have found is trying to get the dash to marry up with the engine got it all running apart from the temp gauge and the rev counter as they work of CAN wires. I am still trying to sort this out. Looking for ideas to over come this Phil |

Have started to map out the wiring for a Td5 and a Tdci to see which wires will need to be connected - wiring diagrams are fun! If I knew what I was doing - I would be scared! |
