Tip broken off Oil Dip Stick
Hi. I noticed yesterday that the part of the dip stick that measures trhe oil level has broken off. It is made of some aluminium alloy I think. The dealer says this could cause serious damage so the sump must be removed. Anybody else had this problem.

Thanks

Anthony

Mine seems to need a good yank to pull out the first inch and then it comes out smoothly. I think i'll check it before it snaps. 130 crew cab

I noticed on mine that the edges where it is crimped onto the wire cord are cracked and pieces of metal are flaking off. I pulled off all the loose pieces and straigtened the end which was also a little kinked to one side.
Hope it stays atached- maybe you will get a free oil change while they hunt for the end of yours Confused Puma 110 - gone
