United Kingdom 2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Sumatra Black
What's that button for?
In the Defender XS there's a blanked out button, circled here:

Credit for the picture goes to: Killer90

As I understand it, the dashboard was taken from one of the others in the fleet and adapted for the Puma Defender but what was the blanked out button originally for?

Isn't it a blank which can be used for additional lights (spot/driving lights).

Agree. If you look at the dealer fit option; auxillary / driving lamp kit it includes a button which the instructions tell you to fit in that blank.

Daniele, my dealer used the same switch as standard in the Puma for the rear fog to wire up my front fogs. See below.
The one which you show with the number 2 written in seems more appropriate for front fogs than mine. Would it be a like for like replacement, or is there difference in wiring, etc. Do you have a part number for that switch, so that I eventually can order it, and have it quickly replaced? Tks

It should be the same wiring unless somebody has altered the connections on the original back connector to get the other switch to work.

I am sure somebody will be along to confirm or otherwise Thumbs Up

Is the front fog light switch a push - push type? Or a push latch on - push unlatch off type? (hope that makes sense) 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Its a push latch on - push latch off
The price of this switch had jumped from Ģ12 to Ģ45 in a year !!

ericvv - why not simple turn the switch over so it points in the other direction - you may need to cut out some groves to allow this

Has anybody thought about fitting an LCD Thermometer into this blanket? So we donīt have to cut holes in the dashboard.
