Nurburgring earlier this week...
A friend invited me for a few days at the ring, with around 300 laps under his belt, we were pretty quick, in fact we were very quick, but we had the right 'weapon'....his 'daily' is a Defender!!
some pics....
We drove there and back

We were exiting some bends at 135+mph, over blind brows at 145+mph, our top speed on the straight was only 173mph as we couldn't keep it lit as the track was still wet at the GP end. (when we arrived on the Monday night, there was snow on the ground Shocked )
Only 4 crashes in the day....If you have an 'off' and hit armco at speed, they say you will look at a 6500euro bill, before you even start looking at the car!!! So as it was wet, we only were at 8/10ths!!
The office

There was some exotica there too, including this Merc...

I'll post some footage up from my GoPro when I have the patience download it Evil or Very Mad

All in all an amazing trip.

Awesome!

We headed there once on motorbikes about 4 years ago. The weather was so bad, we bypassed the circuit completely and rode to Croatia instead Very Happy

Looks amazing - thx for sharing Thumbs Up Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Very cool! GT3RS is the PERFECT car to hit the track in. Only could have been better if you were in that 4.0 or maybe a GT-R Whistle My Travel Page

Are you going just for a weekend or fitting it in with something else?

No problem I'll use 1st gear only then, restricted to about 110mph. Rolling with laughter
