I think that the clip is just one potential issue... On mine the pipe was in the clip, however the brake pipe was still touching the heat shield! This was because the pipe and fitting with the brake housing had been pushed down, all i did was to turn (the fitting and thus the pipe) anti clockwise and now the pipe now sits above the shield instead of touching it. The pipe is however also touching the pipe heat shield by the exspansion bottle just visible in your picture ! Is that a problem? Thanks for raising this issue. In theory nothing should loosely touch anything. If things are touching they should be fixed together. If you know what I mean. I think that made sense.
