Rattle from Gearbox
Just dropped off the Fender at dealers.
While showing the loose breathers etc. we noted the heat shield on the gearbox was completely loose and could be the reason for the rattle sounds. Let's wait and see.
Seems a long shot as the sounds were more mechanical.

That's useful, I have a rattle/resonant sound from underneath. It occurs driving slowly with the engine at about 1300rpm. I'll look tonight. Anywhere else worth looking while I'm grovelling around underneath?

check list
Check the following:

Feel on top of your gearbox for the breather hose and make sure they refitted the hard plastic breather pipe that runs to the port side of the engine bay (RH Drive Model).
My breather hose was off and the remaining pipe for the gearbox and rear diff have both chaffed through on something in the engine bay.

Also check the wire loom running next to the gearbox is propery secured with it's white plastic clip.

The heat shield that came loos is on the starboard side at about 1'o clock position between belhosing and engine.

Good luck Puma 110 - gone

Got her back again after 1 day in the shop.
Needless to say I am still Censored they never even bothered to drop the oil in the box saying it should be fine.
They have ordered two new breather pipes and refitted the heat shield on the crank sensor on the gearbox bellhousing which aparently caused all the rattle - that I will still have to test.
When LR SA called to see if I was happy I gave them an earful about the oil not being changed or at least checked for contamination.
I told them I am going to another dealer and having it changed at my expence and I will ask them to give me the old oil and I will pay to have it analised.

Needless to say, the rattle is still there once the vehicle is all warmed up and I also checked the heat shield on the gearbox crank sensor is also still loose. Don't know what they did to "fix" it - maybe some chewing gum.

Can one of you chaps have a look from your engine bay below your exhaust manifold and see if your heat shield is loose and if it is, do you also notice a rattle in 2'nd gear when the revs are a bit low.

Mine is fitted with only one rivit onto a bracket but the fit is totally loose. I am going to see if it's possible to drill out and fit new but it looks a bit cramped down there. Puma 110 - gone
