2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SW Java Black

Diesel leak?

Seem to have sprung a leak under the bonnet. At the front left side of the engine there's the coolant pump with a vacuum pump on top (fuel pump is behind the two). It looks like there's a brown gasket between the top of the coolant pump and the bottom of the vacuum pump and that looks like it's leaking diesel but it doesn't make sense to me???!!!
The fuel pump behind is bone dry and this leak is being sprayed all over the inner wing and up the underside of the bonnet.

Any ideas? What does that vacuum pump do anyways?
