I think that a four cylinder are the best solution for a "real offroader" like the Defender,
less weight, more torque at low rpm..... 6 cylinder are good for road oriented suv and car.......... it's only my opinion (in the past I was an engine designer and developer) ...... Last edited by dgardel on 5th Aug 2009 9:47pm. Edited 1 time in total |

If you want a 6 cyl. buy a disco3 or 4....

Yes onceits developed and tested i will hopefully be selling the soloution in kit form for the end user, and possibily doing some installs.

Ive not done much to it latley because ive been working on the D4 since November so its just collecting dust in a corner really, the cage is finished in T45 along with the rest of the metal work, i just need to plumb the lockers up wire the winches up and add some instruments and thats about it.
Im going to have to finish it soon as i plan some time next year to pull the 2.7 out and fit the new 3.0L TDV6 D4 lump to it ![]() But first i must finalise what ive already started with the 2.7 but im short on spare time ![]() Pete |
