Seat box battery terminals?
Im sure I saw somewhere on here a battery terminal block that can be fitted to the seat box to assist when connecting jump leads, preventing the need to remove the seat base to access the battery? It consisted of a very neat little block with a + & - terminal and a removable cover.

Im not referring to Anderson connectors (I already have those). Anyone know of a supplier of these please?

Ive purchased a Ring900 heavy duty 12v tyre compressor that has crocodile clips, so something like this would be ideal Thumbs Up

If you already have an Anderson fitted why not just fit an Anderson in place of croc clips?

If you want you could also fit an Anderson to croc lead.

Just an alternative.

That's exactly what I've done. Works perfectly for me, but it means I can't use the compressor on a vehicle without an anderson connector - like the daily commute euro box.

With mine having a winch up front, I got 3 Anderson connectors. Mounted one on the front bumper and took feeds of the winch wire and then took the jump leads and chopped them, so I was left with 18" or so on one end and then put the Anderson connectors on.
The theory being, I can still use jump leads with croc clips either end or I can jump start another car by removing one end of the jump lead and plugging into the Anderson on the bumper. 1999 Defender TD5 110

The air compressor has croc clips and I'd like to still be able to use it from my caravans battery, so the croc clips are needed. Im hoping that the croc clips on the compressor are small enough to clip into the anderson connector so that I have the option of powering it from both the landie and the caravan.

What about keeping the Anderson connector idea but have an Anderson connector spare as an adaptor, either with short wires to a block with + and - terminals on it or solid tails from the connector that you can attach croc clips to.

I was thinking more along the lines of, take a feed out of each croc clip and into a terminal onto the Anderson plug and then you can't lose it it etc. 1999 Defender TD5 110

Steve, did you go ahead with the remote battery connector terminal from mobilecentre? I have the same issues with using an anderson connector and this would be more useful to me, just need to find a suitable mounting place.

Ok, another idea for the same thing




welding connectors. rated up to endless amps, recessed and can be used both to connect devices directly (instead of anderson connector) or if using the male parts without the rubber cap as studs to connect crocodile clamps etc

To avoid +/- pole mixup use 2 different sizes ( your - one size bigger than your + )

What i like about these is they are not sticking out. I know it needs a coincidence to short-circuit the terminals but i have too many metal things floating around in the cabin to be confident.

just 2 cents

ps: always put a battery switch in line with your + on these kind of things. it takes only an instant to weld things together if things go wrong.
