Please bear with her Nakatanenga Stainless screw sets, the screws have the same heads as the original screws on the Defender!. I'm not so sure it's a good idea to introduce a third metal (copper) when you're trying to prevent galvanic corrosion. I think most of these recommended pastes, including the ones which Entreq and Nak supply with their kits are ceramic based and are designed to try an isolate the parts from each other. The corrosion occurs when water gets between the two different metals (steel or ali and the stainless screws) and forms an electrolyte, which accelerates the corrosion process. Pete |
