If you didn't notice in the cab, I wonder whether it is related to the alarm (several flashes of the indicator to say it is on).
Did it ever to a long continuous flash (as when you unlock)? One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Is it under heavy braking?
Some cars flash the hazards when you really stand on the brakes. Steve |

some cars have brake assist and cruise control. we're talking about a defender here ![]() + New Defender 110 First Edition |

It could have been Steve suffering from altitude sickness causing him to see orange flashy lights.

Mine did it once or twice during last winter, but in my case I could tell it from the cab, while the arrows on the dash flashed.
