I think you have answered your own question.
I would complain and get a refund. Then get a genuine or non s*****t one. I was putting the rear eyebrows on the 90 yesterday and got some Britpart retainers, my thoughts were they can't get these wrong ? Wrong, they had a smaller diameter than the genuine ones. I ended up just using the pins to replace the ones I had lost, at least they fitted the OEM studs Bob 2015 Jaguar XE240 R Sport - goes like ....... !! 2013 Defender 90 CSW - sold 2009 Defender 110 Double Cab - sold 2001 TD5 90 CSW - offroad project - sold to a forum member 2011 Porsche Boxster - for the sunny days ! |

I replace my leaking main cylinder by 2 Lucas-Girling: both starting to leak 2 days before change it. Finally I use the original and not problems since.

I have a selection of clutch master cylinders and the TRW ones are better quality than gen LR in my opinion, if anyone wants to pop in I'll show you both and you can see the difference in the quality of the castings. I don't sell Britpart! I also have the clips from Allmakes for a couple of quid or so for a pack of 10 so not sure that getting the really cheap ones is ever worth it!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you put all that work in and it's no good, I have just had to do mine. Both slave and master cylinder. I would have been cross because mine was really awkward to fit being LHD. Give Defenderbits a call (site sponser) brilliant price for a Lucas master cylinder. Steve Edit: see above post...good prices and fast typer too Edit again: not Lucas but TRW ! Good quality |
