2011 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Orkney Grey

Corrosion...2011MY!

I noticed the tell-tale signs of corrosion from one of my bonnet/bulkhead hinges - small lines (like veins) running under the paint. I've got the same thing on both sides inside, from around the windscreen surround bolts. Oh and the front bumper trailing edge is rusting too. I knew it would come...but what to do? Is it better to wait (the car is under 1 year old) or better to tackle it now? Can the bonnet hinge be fixed without removal from the bulkhead (it looks like it riveted)?

Any advice from those who've trodden this path before gratefully received!

report it all to the dealer and ask for a warranty repair/replace for each problem. BM52

Can you suggest one please - Copley, Rocar Moores...... which is best? Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Copley and Rocar Moores are both part of the same Perry Group.

So any difference between them???

My experience of corrosion claims has not been good so far.(2010 90)
I've reported it to my dealer...it's all documented.

Intercooler grille
Headlamp rings
Bumper
Door bolts
Tow bar bolts
Mirror arms

Now they have to "apply" to LR to get the wok agreed.
5 weeks I've been waiting!!
I won't let go thou..and will keep pushing

Still waiting for warranty work on corrosion, reported in May!!!. Needs approval from LR. My wife's Evoque will be cancelled if it's not sorted along with a few other issues.

Very flash place....but don't go in there if you are in a hurry.
Every visit takes 4 times longer than you plan!! Make today a little better than yesterday but not so good as tomorrow....

Know the one I pass it reguarly will be interesting to see how I get on with my corrosion issues when i take mine for its next service DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I can recommend Hillendale Land Rover. Really good service and great attention to detail.

Personally I wouldn't trust Copley or Rocar with my pride and joy. I had a lucky escape with them a couple of years ago. IMHO they don't understand Defenders! Proud owner 110 Utility XS
