Fitting Mantec plastic jobby
Out of interest, I just got my dealer to quote for the installation of a snorkel.

£400 inc parts, vat and labour! I nearly dropped the phone!

I'm going to buy one direct from Mantec (£140) and fit it myself.

Can anyone point me at AndrewS' instructions - I can't find them on the search. Thanks. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

it is quite easy to fit it. It took me about one hour. Just need a drill and screw driver.

cheers

Installed my Mantec snorkel today. I followed AndrewS' instructions - very straightforward. It took me about 2 hours (slightly longer than necessary because my cordless ran out of juice).

Very pleased Very Happy

Are there any other holes I need to block up in the intake system to make it properly airtight? Also - what's the general opinion on the breathers - mantec don't suggest I need to extend them on the Puma but I'm surprised if they're any different to the Td5. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Wow, that's pretty straight forward.. thanks for the Info, I'm getting bravcer to go out and try this.

Just a question.. Do all of the different models fit the same as this one?

Nope - they're all slightly different. I ordered the Mantec but was sent a Safari by mistake. I had a quick look at it before i sent it back - also looks quite straightforward.

Very pleased with mine - no wind noise, no induction noise and you can barely see it from inside the cab. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
