I've recently bought a 2009 ex SSE 110 Puma, and I'm trying to find information on refitting the leisure battery.
Click image to enlarge The battery itself has been removed, but there still seems to be a fuse box remaining, where the battery terminals are connected: Click image to enlarge Can anyone assist me in identifying any additional parts? Under the Driver's seat, there is the usual fuses which I've checked in the Haynes manual: Click image to enlarge Nothing looks out of the ordinary but the wabco is the ABS correct? Click image to enlarge I'm thinking of adding the same brand 95AH Yuasa battery, with a 110 amp wire relay kit: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1M-Split-Charge...2763.l2649 Any help or assistance will be greatly appreciated Cheers! |

If it's any help, Halford's leisure batteries are made by Yuasa, and it's normally pretty easy to get a trade card there which will get you 20% off.
I bought four of their HLB700 100AH batteries a few weeks back (it's a Yuasa L36-EFB with a different label) and got £88 off the RRP. You do have to be careful with leisure batteries as many of them are, er, cra, er, not very good. If you've got time, there's loads of info here: http://www.aandncaravanservices.co.uk/battery-technology.php |

Thanks! Yeah i've read somewhere that you can run AGM leisure batteries below 50%, so I was thinking of the AGM version of that range. They're a little more at £160 though:

Just put a volt meter on its outputs and check engine running.
Numax leisure batteries I have found to be 8n readily good value and performance, have run them for over 10 years now. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Have a read up on AGMs in the link I posted (there's various other articles at the top of that site). I don't think you'll buy one afterwards.

I gave up on that site after trawling round for 15 minutes trying to find out what AGM stands for. Not even in the AGM batteries section or FAQs does it say. Nowhere. |

Absorbed Glass Matting. I'd give it another go if I were you. There's stacks of very sensible information on there.
The L36-EFB Yuasas are the Halfords HLB700 ones I got (same battery, different label). If you can't get a trade card, they're currently £110, otherwise £88. Sorry Liam. |

Yeah I couldn't get a trade card in time, so went with the Amazon link instead. Thanks for the heads up though!
Have you daisy chained 4 of them together? |

my 2011 ex SSE Utility had two leisure batteries under the bulkhead behind the seats. Under the drivers side one was the eberspacher. There was no room under the seat as it had all of the isolator wiring for the winch.

That's a shame, but I know when you need something now, you need it now. Yes, they're in parallel, so 400Ah capacity but still 12v (you link all the positives one side and the negatives the other.) I perhaps should have mentioned they're on our narrow boat, not in my Defender though! |

It's reading about .5 / .6V when the engine is running, is that enough for a split charge? Click image to enlarge |
