Mantec - The shape and fit is much better than the Safari ones, and it just generally looks sleeker Cool An engine to TDi for!

Really? My Mantec has been brilliant and doesn't let anything in.

I prefer the look of the Safari myself, think the mantec looks a bit like a canal boat chimney Laughing

Not that I have a mantec snorkel myself or anything Whistle Geoff

Snap Whistle
Only down side is the top housing looks too big on a 90 Rolling Eyes

I just wish Mantec would sell the smaller top section as an aftermarket replacement. Alas they will only supply to Landrover direct as part of the OE raised air intake Sad [I know - i've asked them] Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

It's a bit questionable whether the LR smaller top section restricts airflow when hammering the engine in hot weather. I'd like to try out the larger one...

Still think the (my) LR Mantec one looks the best though Thumbs Up Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Mantec all the way for me too.......

They are WAY more adaptable and you can adjust every part of it (if you have the metal or plastic one with the flex pipe).

I don't think the Safari matches the lines of the Defender and there is nothing you can do about it.

the two look so different ,there would seem to be more air flow with safari with the air being force as you drive,as there been any sort of test between the two. Confused
what about performance are their any benefits
do like the look of the mantec

I always assumed the Mantec is more for avoiding dust and spray and the Safari is more for scooping air and wading.
Isn't the Safari system more waterproof too, connecting directly to the air duct? Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...
