The alarm may bleep when you plug it all in but try not to look too girly if it does.
Simply plumb it all back together plug the neg on first then the pos. Be carful when tightning the terminals as you certainly dont want to touch the spanner to the edge of the metal seat box |

That's why you put the positive on first, and the negative on last. Avoid the issue of big sparks with the spanner. |

Awesome, thanks! How long will the alarm beep for and is there a specific process to follow other than positive first and then negative? I have a socket set with rubberised handle which I'll use to tighten the bolts.. Appreciate you guys getting back to me!

If it bleeps it will just bleep. I almost jumped out of the engine bay of my old vauxhall coz I just wasnt expecting it at all lol. Really is that simple you mau need to reset the clock lol

If you advance the clock by say 10 minutes before you start you'll not have to adjust afterwards if you get the timing right! If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

K9f was sugesting that it shpuld take ten mins to fit the batterries meaning the clock would then be correct oncw the system has power
Honestly the alram wont go off for that long as I said it may bleep that is all |

So, battery replaced and all lights come on, no issue, only to find that no matter what I try, locking, unlocking, leaving 15 minutes..the vehicle won't start. Doesn't even click or attempt turnover, just lights on...no-one home. Is there a hard reset I need to attempt or call the dealer...there's no roadside assistance techie here in the middle east... or am I just being stupid? Any wisdom at this point is gratefully received...

Sounds like the imobilisers has kicked in not sure how to help get it off. But try this trick
Turns the headlights on and then try to start the engine. Do the light flicker or dim slightly or go completely off? Do you have means to test the power from the battery you boufht and the one you removed? Your fault may not have been due to the old battery being dead at all |

Hi, mate this is first post as i have just joined the forum. I pocked up my 2011 110 sw about 3 weeks ago and had exactly the same problem. I had mine recovered by landrover assist.
I fully charged the battery and nothing, the starter motor had died, it was not even atempting to turn over. Speaking to a landrover technician, i reckon there was a bad batch of starters in that year. It is covered under warranty. |

Wow that would be the last thing I checked in a process of diagnosis. A bad batch of starters you may be one of these unfortunate souls.

Cheers guys, its with the 'stealer' at the moment, so will wait to see what they say (and whether they agree to repair under warranty...) I'll give you the good news once I am informed...
