i assume the wading depth is 500mm like all other defenders unless you fit specific wading equipment.
i can't help with your fuel question though; perhaps an email direct to LR may assist? |

I think it's fair to say that it will be more sensitive to poor fuel that previous Land Rover engines. In some markets (South Africa for instance) they are being supplied without the DPF because they won't work with the local fuel, which has a much higher sulphur content that Europe. I don't know what veg oil would do to it, but I'd bet good money that it would invalidate the warranty. the dpf isnt it in the exhaust, when the fuel is poor, wont it cause problem further up like uel lines, pump, injector, choke the filter or stuff?
i am currently driving a 96 benz indirect injerion 2.9 it can run on anything. |

The 2.2 as most other modern diesel engines will not run on veg oil without damage.

wont be trying vegetale oil, but some parts of malaysia has poor fuel so i wonder ifmi should load 2 jerrycans of good quality fuel when going to such areas
