I have these, and whilst they are very good, they hug the bodywork fairly closely and do tend to collect crud and small stones which wedge between them and the bodywork. 2005 TD5 90 Hard Top Beer 'n Sex 'n Chips 'n Gravy ![]() |

yep they do look good .....I have a pair that look similar (albeit without the chequer plate) for sale (if my memory serves me right they came off Killer90's 90).....£30 +p&p
they only problem I believe is they won't fit a 110 with rear seats as there's a bolt in the rear cross that gets in the way. anyway in my opinion the ones from LRS are the best.........I'm still saving for them ! http://www.lrsshop.co.uk/content/cor4-110-...perett-kit |

How often do you wash your defender? I can't say I've had this happen to me after a trip on the plains (it gets a trip the to polish after every trip on the plains) Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

£561.50 ![]() ![]() http://www.lrsshop.co.uk/content/cor4-rear-110-bumperette-kit You never actually own a Defender. Anybody has these in use on their Defender for at least several years and are they still completely without any trace of rust? You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

You can buy rear bumperettes from about £30 for ex military ones to about £50 for some 3mm painted ones about £150 for 6mm galvanised ones to £500+ for the COR kit.
Now if all you are interested in is the looks go for the ones which appeals to you most. If you are more interested in function and use your Defender the way it is intended then you are more interested in protection. Protection from the rear and you need good strong brackets, from the side a decent coverage and decent size metal. Then you need protection from underneath from things like stepping off rocks. if you do use your Defender then the final finish will get scratched/damaged. A hot dipped galvanisation will stop rust even if top coating is damaged. Next swing away wheel carriers. A lot of rear bumperettes are too close to the rear cross member to allow fitting of wheel carriers. Just a few pointers to consider when deciding which rear bumperettes to get. If anyone is interested in the Safari ones drop me a pm. Brendan |
