2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 SVX Station Wagon Santorini Black
grease nipple knocked off
this may have happened before the weekend but my rear prop is missing a grease nipple... well the shell is there but the stickyout bit has been knocked off ... are these easy to fix ?

they usually screw in and screw out. To get the broken bit out tap the pointy end / tang of a file into the hole and screw it out.

edit: Just checked microcat, a standard prop nipple is part # TYL100030 and £1.78

It also shows 234532 @ 52p as well, for the same one Question


(ahh.... the above one is for the main splines, the other os for the UJ itself, so i'd go for the 234532 one)

bpman, it might be easier than a visit to a main agent, but I bought a handful from my local Agricultural Engineers, he had an assorted box with different threads and various cranked heads, they cost pennies. Thumbs Up

hi bp man if i was you get a set of easy outs, not expensive but are excellent for removing broken stubs etc the problem with using a file is it can spread the nipple if you tap it in to hard.
