impressive efforts, I bet you are aching

as per K90 when you are finished Id spray it all with dinitrol, it will cover the bits you may have struggled to reach and creep into any cracks (especially if you thin it slightly with white spirits) the finish you get from dinitrol will smooth the brush marks and make the whole underside uniform it realy is great stuff, I use waxoil on my last landrover but having now used dinitrol I would not go back, its also dead easy to touch up out of a can DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

You can just call me John that's Ok as well.

Its been a tough slog painting the chassis, It would have been a lot easier if I had a ramp instead of doing the work in the drive on axle stands.

I was lying in bed reading the forum on the phone, and thinking I'm not aching....but when I got up I was!

Dinitrol will be my next phase hopefully. If I don't get the whole chassis coated I will happy with just the area like rear x-member, outriggers/body supports done as that appears to be the biggest mud trap.

I have some cavity wax left so I will do what I can with that as well.

Its coming along slowly and looking much better for it. The nearside has been the worst for rust so far. 1999 Defender TD5 110

I think I used 4941, Its worth going onto thier website as well think its "Rejel" in the serch engine

Today I got the last section of the chassis done! This is one job I don't want to again in a hurry! Hopefully the Dinitrolling will be a bit easier (but could be messier!) 1999 Defender TD5 110

Nice work. I have recently done the chassis of my landy. It's not a nice job to do, but the result is well worth the trouble if you ask me. And it should prevent a chassis change for the next 25 years Very Happy Scaling the real deal.

Cheers. Its taken quite a few hours of hard graft. So far I think i have gone through

0.5 litre bottle of Jenolite (just started a 2nd)
1 small can of zinc primer
1.5 litre of chassis black
.5 litre of etch primer
Several cheap paint brushes from Wilkos
A couple bottles of white spirit for degreasing
Several old rags
Quite a few pairs of disposable gloves

Replaced all the bolts that hold the mud flaps to the chassis and the ones that hold the mud flaps to the brackets with stainless.Still got a few more to replace

Good job mate! I plan on doing mine at some point, although to be fair Landie chassis' do seem to fair better over here in Oz, rust not being half as bad a problem as back in the UK.
Probably helped as well by Councils over here not putting bloody salt on the roads every winter.

Cheers. Its turned out OK, there are bits I have missed either through doing the job lying on my back or very awkward bits that would be easier with the body off etc. Overall I am pleased with it. I would like to get it under-sealed before winter.

Road salt doesn't help.! 1999 Defender TD5 110
