Mine don't rattle at the mounting points. At first they did rattle against the windows a bit when the doors were slammed but I just pulled them out a tad to give some clearance. All now okay Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Is that yours in the photo on page 1? Are they easy to fit without damaging anything? |

Mine rattled at first, they came from Simmonites a few years ago, so I took them off and put some foam backed tape on the upright flats where there's no fixing points. Mine are starting to rust where the paint covering has been "battle scarred" over the years but some of the "dings" just prove to me that they were worthwhile putting on in the first place

Yup - it's the blue 110. They are easy to fit as long as you can drill holes accurately and are careful and firm with the riveter. Wet assemble with sealant for a nice weatherproof fit. On the other hand, if you consider drilling rivet holes as "damaging", they might not be for you p.s. just remembered - like JWL, I put some edge protector on the uprights to keep them pressed gently against the side Tell someone you love them today because life is short. Okay - finally fitted my rear grille:
The rear door plastic trim in the Puma is substantial and once removed it didn't seem practical to start chopping it up, so I trimmed the bottom of the grille so it would sit tight on top of the trim. Also cut a hole for the stop light (I ordered the wrong one ): Click image to enlarge Marked the holes, pre-drilled with a small bit (like an idiot I didn't use a drill stop and managed to punch the outer skin - more touching up Used M6 rivnuts: Click image to enlarge Fitted the grille with M6 screws: Click image to enlarge Fitted "anti-rattle" edge-trim at the top: Click image to enlarge View from the back: Click image to enlarge View from inside (looks dark inside but isn't - bad camera): Click image to enlarge Tips (hope this is right): treat drill holes (I also treated the skin in places ) with KuRust etc. and use Duralac etc. on the alu rivnuts (steel door). Also squirted ACF-50 through the fitted rivnuts onto the skin (can't hurt) and onto the screws before assembly. One final tip is to figure out where there may be vibration and deliberately warp the grill so it doesn't touch the door (using more edge-trim would also work. Sorry if I've forgotten anything - Hell breaking loose here. Cheers Matt Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated Tell someone you love them today because life is short. Brendan (leeds) doesn't seem to come on here anymore. You could always have a look at his company website though - 4x4 Overlander. Darren
