Is it a case that the speedo drive on a disco is different to a defender? Or is the ECU reading it differently. So can you swap ECU from disco or modify your defender one? Do you have a Nanocom?

I am afraid we have tried that and others. As far as I know we have tried them all including v8
Although its a td5 (v) with a td5 dash it's running a 300tdi. I am guessing this is part of the issue but can't see how. It worked befor the box change and I have been told it ran disco box prior? |

The difference between the defender and disco sender is the disco gives twice as many pulses. So on a programmable speedo either will be fine. On a standard defender td5 speedo it's set to 4100 pulses per mile. Still looking into it. |

For your information
"For what it's worth, the Disco transducer unit (the small black one, think it has an AMR part number) reads double the number of pulses that the Defender Td5 one (YBE100530) does. For a Defender Td5 speedo, YBE100530 is what you want. Anything else will mis-read, and a non-genuine YBE100530 will double-read. Never heard of a Britpart YBE100530 not reading double! " Andy |
