1988 Defender 110 200 Tdi PU Baltic Blue

converting from RHD to LHD

Hi,

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of what parts would be required to convert a 110 puma RHD to a LHD. Part numbers also welcome.

I once had the pleasure of converting a Td5 from LHD to RHD, not a project I would recommend, its not the obvious things that are the killer, i.e steering box, Panhard rod etc, its the secondary changes, such as the wiper rack, Hoses, bulkhead modifications ( all the small brackets you never think of), the wiring changes, all in all total night mare, both physically and financially.

As suggested consider selling your RHD and just go out and buy a LHD. Richard

Either a 90, 110 or 130.

Normally I would say yes but due to where the car is going (customer), its alot cheaper to import a rhd car and convert it within the country.

They sell 'window screens' which I assume, screen you from windows, unlike a 'windscreen' which screens you from wind !!!!

Is it a legal requirement in the country?

Reason I ask is because I have driven LHD Land Rovers in the UK and RHD Land Rovers in Europe and to be honest once you get used to the different position it is fine.
