Mine is like that on one side and not on the other - good old LR build quality
Are you sure you didn't miss spotting it (on that side) before? Surely if someone tried to force it: a) they would succeed, and b) there would be other marks My guess is a change in temperature. Not sure if the skins are pulled in by something that can loosen off - someone else will surely know Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short. Is that the rubber weathershield? If so I had to remove one of mine and cut a small piece off of it as it was a little too long. Now it is a snug fit. 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Thinking a bit harder, where exactly is the gap? I assumed along the bottom but "between the doorframe and the window" covers a lot of ground... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.

My mates Puma was exactly like that on the nearside from new. I teased it back into position using an iPod opening tool. A year on it's still where I left it.

Exactly where is the gap, please? I'm now a bit confused (as usual). (sorry if that seems a stupid question) Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

If you look at the picture, you can see a narrow gap between the bottom of the rubber window sealing strip, and the glass aperture in the door which runs pretty much the whole width of the window. This is supposed to be covered by the rubber strip, but often isn't in many cases.

Aha! Cheers, that's what I thought.
So you took the rubber off and prized something back in? Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

Thought I would have to move the metal in.
Cheers Zag. My door skin is so warped the rubber won't stretch that far - another job for Summer - good old Sikaflex Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

You don't need to take it off. Like Zag said, if you push it down it will spread out a bit towards the edge of the door. If you then slip something underneath the edge of it where it should touch the metal work (something flat and plastic so as not to cause damage - I used a flat iPod opening tool which is perfect for the job), you can gently pull the bottom edge outwards which will cover the gap. It seems to slightly reposition it and it stays there - it certainly did on the one I fixed for someone

Only that you're getting unnecessary water inside the door. Pete |
