Weather forecasts
Weather forecasts Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

Weather forecast is for some rain, but looking out of window here in West Yorkshire it is snowing!

Not settling YET due to wet ground.

So how accurate is your local weather forecast.

Havn't had rain in weeks, maybe months but pouring today as forecast says with possible snow in neighbouring Kent. We have been told even it rains full on until the summer we will still have a water shortage situation and have to drink out of dry river beds Rolling Eyes

22ºC and sunshine... Not too inaccurate... Maybe 20 or 21 though.

No worries, there was a break in the clouds as I came home from Hereford which revealed the Black Mountains with a covering of snow, spring isn't here yet Rolling Eyes

Just been out in a sleet storm to feed the sheep. Blinking freezing. Snow down to 600m on the hills. Must be almost time to start lambing! Confused Confused

That sounds just about right Rolling Eyes You end up having to keep ewes and lambs in for longer taking up space and feed, just so glad I left that form of employment a few years ago Whistle

At least feed sacks are made of plastic nowadays, nothing worse than trudging across a field, battling through a flock of miserable sheep and the bag disintegrates before you get to the trough and all the dust(now wet and slimey) goes down your neck just as the aforementioned woolly things take your legs out from underneath you as they battle to get at the spilled nuts Rolling Eyes

Rolling with laughter Not my favourites either and blimmen goats Rolling Eyes Give me a few cows and pigs anytime but whatever pays these days Sad Don't get me started on arrogant pampered pet horses, should be in a barn or in a field not locked up in prison cells swaying from side to side out of boredom until they get there bottoms wiped Rolling Eyes

i have the Met Office app on my iphone. 5 days ago it said it would be sleet today, it was bang on.
The good thing about the app is you can set different places on it. Mine are local plus Buxton, Santa Pod Raceway and Porthmadog, as these are my frequent weekend jaunts.
It's usually accurate to the hour Thumbs Up

I just have the local weather from the Met Office, set from the next village where there's a lot of men in green suits who say they come from the regiment that has more personnel than the whole of the British Army Rolling Eyes My htc has got one of those apps on the main screen that isn't too far out and it keeps my small mind entertained with its animations Whistle

Snow was forcast for us up north today "on high ground", we had a wee smattering which was washed away at lunch time.

Metoffice forcast on the iphone was spot on, long range is allways mor of a finger in the air, think this is why they now only do 5 days not 7 on countryfile.

Really? Must be very isolated and local right on the spot where you are Laughing

We have not seen snow, rain, or any other liquid falling from the air for at least 3 weeks now here in the wider Geneva area. Way too dry actually. But the Defender does not mind this prolonged dry weather. Thumbs Up

Forecast is for 60% rain tomorrow, but "We will see, said the blind man" Rolling Eyes You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.
