Wales 2009 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS DCPU Tonga Green
I wish I had some of your guy's cars!! Some real classics..... and some real sheds too.

I started off rocky but then found my way (passed my test Nov 99):

(1999)91 Pugeot 405 (First car, cheap and lasted 3 months)- WILL NEVER BUY FRENCH AGAIN.
(2000) 2000 Rover 25 1.4- Bought new and still have it.
(2003) 95 Rover 220 coupe Turbo (Modded up to 325bhp and a top speed of 185- all for £2k)- Wish I kept it going.
(2007) 91 Discovery V8 (still have her).
(2009) 09 Defender.

It is great how peoples cars tend to get newer as they get older but mine seemed to get older (until the Defender).

All the cars were getting high mileage every year including the Defender (it is low for it's age but in 2.5 years ownership I have been 'away' with work for about a year of it).

twopoint6 - we have nearly matching current garages! You obviously have good taste. I've a 2006 Golf GT Tdi and a 2005 Td5 90 CSW.

Apart from being the hallmark of good taste, it's also quite a useful combo - Golf for the long drives and getting places quickly/economically, Defender for lugging stuff around and outdoor fun. It also goes on the odd jaunt to foreign lands, just when we're taking our time about things.

Thumbs Up

When I chose a new car it's more which land rover to get. I can't bring myself to buy another brand let alone a non British make.

Series 3 swb with a 2.5na, overdrive and rr difs I reckon I got 80 out of it down a big hill.

About time I added my list. I'm young enough to be able to recall them all, and in order!

Landrover series III 88" diesel (later converted back to Petrol as original)
Landrover IIA 1-ton 109" (still got)
Citroen AX (broken into and written off due to the damage they did, they ripped the dash out, bent the door in half etc)
Peugeot 106 (went to scrappage scheme in exchange for Panda...)
1966 Landrover IIA 88" (restoration project)
Fiat Panda (my first NEW car) which was chopped in for...
Defender 110 USW.

I also have a share in a series III 1-ton that was rescued from a scrapyard.
